| I LOVE BEING MARRIED!!! more on that later...not much time to write
Just wanted to let everyone know that a slide show of some of the wedding pictures is up on our photographers' website. You can find it under "slideshows" at www.thevisionyard.com. Enjoy!
| The lengerie party was PERFECT! Lots of beautiful antique tea cups and saucers, wonderful hot tea, delicious tea party food - cucumber sandwiches, scones, chocolate covered strawberries, fruit dip, the works! And fun games too - I only had to chew four giant pieces of bubble gum because I know Keith so well and only got four questions about him wrong out of twenty. Also got some very nice gifts ;)
Rehersal tonight went okay, but I'm so glad I never have to do that again. But all the guys were so cooperative and patient - praise God for godly men, especially the ones who are already married and know how stressfull this all is because they've been through it. And dinner was delicious! Thank you Roja's for the great mexican food!
The girls are staying the night tonight. We're watching Pride and Prejudice, because it's the movie Keith and I went to see the night he proposed :) and Father of the Bride, because it fits and I love it! The guys are all going camping at the lake tonight. However, on my way home from picking up the movies I saw a bunch of cop cars with their lights on surrounding a bunch of motorcycles in the Wal Mart parking lot. Sure enough, some of the guys ran a stop sign and they all got pulled over. However, I think the cops were just suspicious about a group of 10-15 loud bikes and wanted to check things out. Can't some guys just have a little fun?!
I'll let you know how it all turns out.
| Only three days left until the wedding! Still need to punch holes and tie ribbon on pew cones, cut ribbon for the bridesmaid dresses, finalize music for the ceremony, print and fold programs, get pretty barrettes for the bridesmaids' hair, and the list goes on of things I don't even know about....
My mom has been such a trooper. While I was in school she took care of all the planning - all I had to do was say "yes" or "no" about decisions. But I've been home for the past week and being submerged in all the planning for the first time has been a little overwhelming. A couple of nights ago I found myself drowned in last minute details and becoming very stressed...forgetting that it's not about having a perfect wedding, but about something so much bigger. Keith was quick to remind me of all the reasons we're doing this...what a huge blessing he is. I'm so looking forward to being married to him!
Lengerie party tonight - tea party style!
| 12 days till the wedding! I can't believe it's this close. Half way through the engagement it felt like we'd be engaged the rest of our lives...now we'll only be engaged for 12 more days, and then we'll be married the rest of our lives. :) I started to get nervous and a little scared this past week. But I know I'm about to embark on one of the most amazing rides of my life, and I know God has ordained this and set it out before us, so my faith is in Him and my fear is so small.
God chose to show himself faithful to us this past week at the perfect time. And He chose to bless us through our close friends, which was really special to us. Because of which, now we have honeymoon plans. :) Thanks God.
One final down, three to go.
| Xanga? Oh yah, I forgot.
So, maybe I don't want to be a nurse. Or maybe I just don't want to be in school anymore. Yah, that's it. But I passed my skills test this morning - praise God! I can properly put a patient on oxygen, give an injection of Morphine, and apply a sterile wound dressing.
I'm so tired. And I still have one and a half research articles to critique . And clinical paperwork to finish. And a test to study for. I might cry.
And my butt hurts from the ride home on the bike tonight.
Mind if I just complain?
I want hot tea... | | |
